As employers look to see how artificial intelligence will fit into their operations, one report found that more than 17,000 jobs have been directly affected this year alone.
Here’s a closer look at those numbers and some of the others making headlines in the HR world.
By the numbers 8.1% – The percentage of job postings in August that mentioned employer-provided training programs, compared to 3.4% in January 2018, according to Indeed’s Hiring Lab research.
12 – The number of weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave that eligible employees can take in a 12-month period under the Family and Medical Leave Act.
14% – The percentage of workers who said they would rather have a cavity filled than talk politics at work, per Monster’s Politics in the Workplace Report.
30% – The share of employers who offer family caregiver leave, the 2026 U.S. Leave Management Report from Aon company NFP found.
17,375 – The number of job cuts that have been directly attributed to AI this year, led by the tech industry, per a report by outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.
